The US has more AI events than any other country, and the range is wide: trade shows in Las Vegas, developer conferences in San Jose, one-day summits in hotel ballrooms, research flagships that happen to be in the country this year. This guide pulls the US dates from our AI events calendar, so the list is current, then helps you pick the one that is worth a flight and a week out of the business.

If an event you were looking for is missing, its current edition has probably finished and the next one is not in our data yet. Ai4, The AI Summit New York, Boston AI Week and the AIAI one-day summits all run on a yearly rhythm, so check back or look at the organiser's site for next year's dates.
Five kinds of US AI event#
Business shows. Ai4 in Las Vegas, The AI Summit New York, HumanX. A large exhibition, several stages, and an audience of people deciding what to adopt and buy. If your question is what is on the market, start here.
Developer and infrastructure conferences. NVIDIA GTC, The AI Conference in San Francisco, infrastructure summits such as infra/STRUCTURE. Technical sessions, product launches and an audience that builds things. Worth it if you build or buy at the infrastructure layer.
One-day and city summits. The AIAI events in Boston and Los Angeles, Boston AI Week. Short trips, focused programmes, a higher share of practitioners. Often the best value for a small team, because the cost is a day rather than a week.
Sector summits. AI in finance, energy, agriculture. Narrow, practical and full of people who share your regulator and your problems. If you work in one of these sectors, one good sector event beats two general ones. The AI in healthcare conference guide covers that sector specifically.
Research flagships. CVPR, ICLR, NAACL and others meet in the US in some years. Excellent for research teams and recruiting, poor value for business readers. The NLP and machine learning and robotics guides explain when they are worth it.
CES sits on its own. It is a consumer electronics show, not an AI conference, but so much of what is shown there now involves AI, from devices to robots to cars, that it belongs on the list for anyone working on physical or consumer products.
Choosing by city#
In a country this size, where an event is held changes the cost of going more than the ticket does. It is worth knowing the four places the calendar clusters.
Las Vegas. The big shows, because the convention centres and hotels are built for them. Easy to reach, easy to find a room if you book early, and a hard place to have a quiet conversation. Book meeting rooms or dinners in advance.
San Francisco and San Jose. Developer and research events, and a high density of AI companies. Hotels near the venues get expensive when a large conference is in town, so book as soon as you commit.
New York. Business and finance events. Good if your buyers are enterprise or financial services, since many of them are based there and can come for an afternoon.
Boston. A mix of research, health and enterprise, with Boston AI Week spreading events across Massachusetts. Good for hiring from the universities and for health and life sciences conversations.
Everywhere else. Chicago, Austin, Houston, Orlando, Seattle and Los Angeles all host AI events, often sector summits or a research flagship in a given year. For a team based nearby, these are the easiest wins on the calendar: no flight, no hotel, and a room full of people from your own region, who are the ones most likely to become customers, partners or hires. Check the list above for the city closest to you before you look at anything that needs a plane.
Which event suits which reader#
You run a small or mid-sized business. A business show or a one-day summit. Go with three problems you need solved, walk the hall, and leave with a shortlist. Skip the keynotes you can watch online.
You lead marketing or sales. The business shows and sector summits, where your buyers and peers are. Our guide to AI conferences for marketing and sales leaders goes through them one by one.
You run engineering or data. GTC or a developer conference, plus one practitioner summit. The hallway at these is the best place to hear what actually works in production.
You work in a regulated sector. Finance, healthcare, energy and the public sector all have their own AI events, and the sessions there deal with the questions that stall adoption in practice: audit trails, data residency, who signs off when a model makes a decision. A general show will mention those in one panel. A sector summit spends the whole day on them.
You are raising money. HumanX and the large shows, where investors go to meet many founders in a few days. Book the meetings before you fly.
Getting the trip approved#
For a small team, a US conference trip is a large discretionary expense, and it is easy to see the whole cost at once. Make the request easy to say yes to.
Name the decision
One sentence on what the company will decide with what you learn. A vendor shortlist, a hire, a market to enter. If you cannot write it, wait for a better event.
List the meetings
The people or companies you will see, booked before you go. Meetings are what turn a trip into work.
Price everything
Ticket, flights, hotel, ground transport, and the days away. Being honest about the time cost makes the rest of the request more credible.
Promise the output
A written debrief within a week with a recommendation. Deliver it on time, and next year's request gets approved on the strength of this one.
Before and after: where the value lands#
Two to three weeks before: book meetings. Speakers and exhibitors are reachable and expect to be contacted. Give each person a specific reason and a proposed time.
During: after every useful conversation, write one line about what was said. The renewal date, the problem, the vendor they want to leave. That line is what makes the follow-up feel like a continuation.
Within 72 hours after: send the follow-ups, before triage, before the debrief, before catching up on email. The event lead follow-up guide explains why the first three days decide most of it, and the same logic as responding to any lead quickly applies.
This is the step that breaks for small teams, because the person who went is behind on everything when they get back. Wysera is built for it: Wyse drafts each follow-up from the note you captured and asks before anything sends. If your team already follows up inside a few days without help, you do not need a tool for this.
The keynote will be on video by the weekend. The person you met in the hall will have forgotten you by Thursday. Spend your energy on the second problem.
Try it on autopilot
Fly home with the follow-ups already drafted.
Wysera turns the notes you capture at an event into a drafted message per person, keeps every contact on one record, and asks you before anything sends.
Frequently asked
What are the biggest AI conferences in the US?
The US calendar has a few anchors: Ai4 in Las Vegas and The AI Summit New York for business leaders, NVIDIA GTC in San Jose for developers and infrastructure, HumanX for executives and founders, and CES for consumer and physical AI. Research flagships such as CVPR, ICLR and NAACL also meet in the US in some years. The list on this page shows every US event still to come in our calendar, with dates pulled from the data.
Which US AI conference is best for business leaders?
Ai4 and The AI Summit New York are built for business readers: adoption case studies, vendor halls, governance and buying decisions. HumanX leans toward executives and investors. If you want depth on one industry, a sector summit such as one of the AI in finance events is usually better than a general show.
Is NVIDIA GTC worth attending if I am not a developer?
Mostly for the keynote and the exhibition, both of which show where AI infrastructure is heading. The bulk of the programme is technical sessions for developers and infrastructure teams. A business leader can get the keynote online, so the trip is worth it mainly if you are buying infrastructure or meeting partners who will be there.
Are there good one-day AI events in the US?
Yes. Several organisers run one-day summits in cities such as Boston, Los Angeles and New York, and these are often the best value for a small team: a short trip, a focused programme and a manageable number of people. Boston AI Week takes a different approach, spreading many events across a week in Massachusetts.
How do I get my company to pay for an AI conference?
Write a one-page request: the decision the trip will help make, the meetings you will book, the full cost including days away, and a promised written debrief within a week. Most managers are not objecting to the ticket. They are objecting to a trip with no stated output.
When is the best time of year for AI conferences in the US?
The calendar is busiest in spring and in the autumn, with research flagships clustered from spring into early summer and many business shows in late summer, autumn and early winter. January opens with CES. Pick the window that comes before your own busy season, so what you learn can still change the plan.
