Wysera + Gmail

Your inbox is where deals actually move. OpsWyse plus Gmail turns it into a worked queue: triaged, drafted, logged, and never silently sent without your say-so.

What this integration does

Use cases

Auto-draft replies that wait for your approval

A prospect emails a pricing question. Wyse matches the thread to the deal, drafts a reply citing their plan and recent activity, and leaves it as a Gmail draft. You open the thread, read the draft, and hit approve. The send happens only after you confirm, never before.

Kill manual CRM logging

Every customer email in and out gets logged automatically against the right OpsWyse record. Reps stop BCC-ing the CRM and stop forgetting to. The deal timeline is complete because logging is a side effect of the integration, not a chore.

Triage a flooded shared inbox

Your support@ or sales@ inbox gets hundreds of messages a day. Wyse categorizes by urgency and topic, labels each thread, and drafts responses for the routine ones. Humans handle the judgment calls; Wyse clears the noise.

Catch the threads going cold

Wyse watches for prospect threads that have gone quiet past your follow-up window and drafts a nudge for each one. The daily brief lists them so nothing important dies in the inbox unanswered.

Setup, step by step

  1. 01

    Connect Gmail via Google OAuth

In OpsWyse, go to Settings, Integrations, Gmail. Click Connect Gmail and complete Google's OAuth consent. Requested scopes: read messages, create and send drafts, modify labels. You can connect an individual mailbox or a Google Workspace shared mailbox.

  2. 02

Choose which labels Wyse can read

By default Wyse reads only your Inbox and any labels you select. Personal labels and folders you don't select stay invisible to Wyse. For shared inboxes, point Wyse at the routing labels your team already uses.

  3. 03

Set your reply voice and signature

Configure the voice profile and signature Wyse uses for drafts. You can keep your existing Gmail signature or define an OpsWyse one. Drafts always appear in the original thread so context is preserved.

  4. 04

    Map triage rules to OpsWyse

Define how triaged mail maps to OpsWyse: which topics create tasks, which urgencies notify which owner, how unmatched senders get handled. Sensible defaults ship out of the box; refine over the first week.

  5. 05

    Run in draft-only mode first

Start with auto-send fully off so Wyse only ever creates drafts. Watch the drafts for a week. Once you trust the voice and matching, you can enable approve-to-send, which still gates every message behind your confirmation.

Data flow

Wyse accesses Gmail through Google's Gmail API using OAuth tokens scoped to the labels you grant. Message bodies are processed inside your OpsWyse tenant and never train public models. Drafts are created via the Gmail drafts API and only sent after Wyse's confirm-before-execute approval; every send, draft, and label change is recorded in the OpsWyse audit log with the Gmail message ID. Sensitive content is matched to records by metadata where possible, and field-level redaction can keep flagged fields out of agent processing entirely.

  • Gmail API per-user quota is 250 quota units per second; Wyse batches reads to stay well under, so very high-volume shared inboxes may see triage lag during spikes.
  • OAuth scopes can be narrowed to read-only, which disables draft creation and auto-send but keeps triage and logging.
  • Attachments are logged as references, not ingested in full, on Solo and Team plans; full attachment ingestion is Pro Bundle.

Questions

Can Wyse send email without me seeing it first?

No, not unless you explicitly turn on approve-to-send and approve each message. The default and recommended mode is draft-only: Wyse writes the reply as a Gmail draft and waits. Confirm-before-execute is on by every outbound path.

Does Wyse read my entire mailbox?

Only the Inbox plus the labels you explicitly select. Labels and folders you don't grant stay invisible. You can also connect a single shared mailbox without exposing anyone's personal mail.

Does this work with Google Workspace and personal Gmail?

Both. Personal @gmail.com accounts and Workspace accounts connect the same way. Workspace admins can pre-authorize the Wysera app domain-wide if they prefer to manage access centrally.

Will it conflict with my existing Gmail filters?

No. Wyse adds its own 'wyse/' prefixed labels and never deletes or reorganizes your existing filters or labels. Your current rules keep running alongside Wyse's triage.

What happens to drafts if I disconnect?

Drafts Wyse already created stay in your Gmail as normal drafts. Disconnecting revokes the OAuth token immediately so Wyse can no longer read, draft, or send. Your mailbox is otherwise untouched.
