Wysera + Slack

If your team lives in Slack, Wyse lives in Slack. Daily summaries, agent updates, approval prompts, all in the channels you already use.

What this integration does

Use cases

Replace standup with a daily summary

Wyse posts the 8am team summary to #eng-standup. Each item is clickable, scrollable, threaded. Team reads in 60 seconds instead of attending a 15-minute call. Works for any team (sales, support, ops, product).

Approve outbound emails from your phone

Wyse drafts a cold outreach. Posts the draft in #sales-approvals. Sales lead taps Approve, Edit, or Reject. Approved emails send within 60 seconds. Stuck in transit? Approve from the airline lounge.

Get pinged when a deal goes hot

Wyse watches your pipeline. When a deal hits the 'meeting booked' or 'verbal yes' stage, it posts a hot-deal alert with context to #sales-wins. Team momentum stays high, leadership stays in the loop.

Customer escalations routed by topic

Wyse reads inbound support messages, categorizes by urgency and topic, routes the high-urgency ones to #support-urgent with a draft response. Average response time drops from 4 hours to 12 minutes.

Setup, step by step

  1. 01

    Install the Wysera Slack app

From your OpsWyse workspace, go to Settings, Integrations, Slack. Click Install. You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the workspace. Required Slack permissions: read channel list, post to channels, read DMs to bot, slash commands.

  2. 02

    Pick your channels

Map Wyse activities to channels: daily summary, approval prompts, hot-deal alerts, urgent support, agent activity log. We recommend one channel per category, not a single firehose channel.

  3. 03

    Configure who can approve

Set approver roles per agent. Sales lead approves outbound. EM approves engineering posts. Support lead approves customer responses. Any team member can read; only approvers can act on the prompts.

  4. 04

    Test with a non-production agent

Trigger a test agent run. Confirm the prompt lands in the right channel, the buttons work, the approve action triggers the right downstream behavior. Once a non-production agent works, enable production agents.

  5. 05

    Train your team on /wyse

Send a one-pager to the team showing the slash commands and the bot DM behaviors. Adoption is higher when the team knows what they can ask Wyse than when they wait for Wyse to come to them.

Data flow

Wyse posts messages and reacts to button clicks via the Slack Web API. Messages are stored in Slack's history, not duplicated in Wysera. Agent decisions and approval verdicts are logged in your OpsWyse audit log with the Slack message reference. PHI and sensitive data are never posted to Slack channels by default; sensitive content surfaces a link to the OpsWyse record instead of inline.

  • Up to 25 mapped channels per workspace on Solo and Team plans, unlimited on Pro Bundle.
  • Slash commands rate-limited to 30 per minute per user (Slack platform limit).
  • Approval timeout: 30 minutes by default, configurable up to 24 hours.

Questions

Can Wyse read all my Slack messages?

No. Wyse only reads channels you explicitly map and DMs sent directly to the Wyse bot. We do not request the broad message-read scope that some integrations use. Your team's general chat stays private.

What if I approve something accidentally in Slack?

Every approved action has a 60-second cancel window during which you can Undo from the same Slack thread. After 60 seconds, the action has executed; revert from the OpsWyse audit log. The Undo timer is configurable per agent.

Does the Slack integration work with Slack Enterprise Grid?

Yes, including multi-workspace Grid. Wyse can be installed per-workspace or org-wide via SCIM. Channel mappings are per-workspace; agents and audit log are org-wide.

Can the Wyse bot post in private channels?

Only if it's explicitly invited to that channel. Posting permissions follow Slack's standard model: the bot has access to whatever channels you add it to, no more.

What happens if Slack is down?

Wyse continues running in OpsWyse and queues Slack messages. When Slack recovers, the queue posts in order. No agent activity is lost. We've tested through extended Slack outages with full recovery.
