Add your own domain

Send cold email from a lookalike of your domain so your main one stays safe. Add it, publish four DNS records, then create a mailbox on it.

Use a lookalike, never your main domain. Cold email can hurt a domain's reputation, so keep your main domain for your team's everyday mail. If you are acme.com, send from something like getacme.com.

  1. In PostWyse, open Email › Domains and add a domain.
  2. Type the domain and click Set it up. PostWyse shows the records to add.
  3. Add the records where you manage your domain: Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53 or anywhere else. With Cloudflare, PostWyse can add them for you. Or send the steps to whoever looks after your domain.
  4. Once every record is found, an admin creates a mailbox on the domain from Email › Mailboxes › Create mailbox. Warmup starts within 15 minutes.

The four records

  • MX: where replies to your mailboxes are delivered.
  • SPF: lists the servers allowed to send as you.
  • DKIM: a signature on every email, so receivers know it wasn't faked.
  • DMARC: tells receivers what to do with mail that fails the checks.

A trial includes one PostWyse mailbox.
